She Woke Me at Midnight — and I Was Shocked
I Never Thought My Manifestation Would Happen Like This
Do you often wonder whether the law of attraction really works? Have you created a wish list or dream list but don’t know when they’ll manifest? Or do you sometimes doubt whether they will even manifest in the first place?
Hi I Aaftaab Ali. I’m Emotions Elevation Coach. I’ve been practicing the law of attraction and manifestation since 2006, ever since I read The Secret by Rhonda Byrne.
Even though I’ve learned a lot and achieved many things in my life using the law of attraction, I’ll be honest — there are moments when I still get suspicious. Does it actually work?
In this story, I want to share my real-life manifestation journey and secrets. Please read this story till the end — you might finally discover why the law of attraction hasn’t worked for you (yet).
Let’s go back to 2013.
I was single, pursuing Chartered Accountancy. One of the key lessons I’d learned about the law of attraction was that it works only when you have absolute clarity about what you truly want. Our mind works with images, not words. When you can clearly visualize the ultimate outcome, visualization becomes a powerful force that accelerates your success. I wanted to put this to the test.
So, I created a list of things I desired. I took a small pocket diary and wrote exactly what I wanted in all areas of my life — career, health, wealth, relationships, etc. Among all these desires, one was especially close to my heart: manifesting my dream life partner.
I wrote everything I could think of about the qualities I wanted in my life partner. As a bachelor, I often fantasized about a partner who’s beautiful, caring, loyal, understanding, sexy, supportive — the list goes on. Along with these traits, there was one thing I wanted very specifically: taqwa (God-consciousness). I desired a wife who was pious, modest, and wore the hijab (Islamic veil) in public.
This may sound possessive to some, but I couldn’t digest the idea of random strangers gazing at my wife’s beauty — it would boil my blood. I was crystal clear about the religious values I wanted in my partner. I wanted a practicing Muslimah who performed obligatory prayers and encouraged me to do the same. I would often visualize us praying together, especially the non-obligatory midnight prayers.
As a believer in the power of prayer, I valued midnight prayers deeply. In Islam, prayers in the last part of the night are sacred — we believe Allah’s mercy is at its peak at that time. If someone prays then, their wishes are granted without a doubt. I longed for a wife who would wake me up for these prayers, and together, we’d stand side by side, connecting with the Divine.
I visualized everything — our love, our walks in the park, our togetherness — but above all, I envisioned us standing together on the prayer mat, offering those sacred midnight prayers.
Fast forward. It wasn’t easy finding the right partner, but somehow, I manifested her in 2019. We met through a free matrimonial app during its test run. We convinced our parents, and got married in November.
She was the answer to my prayers. She had all the qualities I’d dreamed of. From day one, she wore the hijab — without me ever asking. She was the daughter of an alim (Islamic scholar) and deeply pious, just like I’d imagined.
Yet, one thing felt missing — our midnight prayers together. Although she wanted to be consistent in her prayers, after our first night praying together, she struggled to maintain regularity. It broke my heart, but I never forced her. Then came our daughter, born via caesarean. The challenges of motherhood made prayers even harder for her. She eventually stopped praying entirely.
I felt bad but understood her struggles. Slowly, things improved — my wife began to recover, and our daughter grew. Today, my daughter is three and a half years old.
Now let’s come back to the main point.
Just before Ramadan, my wife and I had a small dispute — something trivial. But as you know, sometimes small issues escalate. She stopped talking to me. At the time, I was under intense pressure — having left my job to pursue my passion for coaching and writing full-time. Transitioning from a job to a business isn’t a cakewalk. I often got so engrossed in my work that I unintentionally neglected my wife. She felt sidelined, thinking my clients, business, and books were more important than her.
While I genuinely love her and there’s no other woman in my life, I knew I had to work on giving her more time and attention.
But here’s the beautiful part — because of our fight, something incredible happened. She became closer to God Almighty. For a pious Muslim woman, when her husband distances himself, she often seeks closeness with the Creator. She started praying regularly.
At the time I’m writing this, it’s been 15 days since she began praying daily. And you know what’s the best part? Every morning around 3:40 AM, she wakes me up for suhoor (pre-dawn meal before fasting), and we’re now praying midnight prayers and morning prayers together. I fast for the entire month of Ramadan and this time she has joined me in this. She hasn’t missed a single fast this time.
This morning, I realized — this is what I had always dreamed of. Me and my wife, praying and fasting together. It took time to manifest, but finally, thanks to the Almighty, it’s happened. I can’t express how much it means to have my soulmate by my side in prayer. Especially those midnight prayers — they bring deep joy and peace to my soul. I feel truly blessed and profoundly grateful to Allah for fulfilling this long-held desire.
So here are my learnings as a Coach and practitioner of the law of attraction:
- Plant the seeds of your wildest desires and put them in the soil of your subconscious. Be clear about what you want.
- Let them grow at their own pace. You can’t force plants to grow faster, just like you can’t rush a baby’s birth. Nature has its own laws.
- Have faith. Believe it’s possible. Doubts are like poison for your dreams.
- Enjoy the process. Don’t stress about when it will happen. That delays everything. Trust the timing — you never know when your thoughts will bear fruit.
As for me, I waited years for this one wish to come true. But today, it’s real. And it was worth every moment of the wait.
With that, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to you for reading my story till the end. I truly hope it brought value to your life.
